Mandara Spa

Is there any age limit?
Yes, spa access is limited to guests aged 18 years and over. This is because the Hydro Bath facilities can be dangerous for children and oils used for treatment are absorbed in the skin and this is not beneficial for children who are still growing. Another reason is out of consideration for other guests who are relaxed in a quiet place. There are no limits at the other end of the age scale. However, guests who have concerns about their heart and/or blood pressure may want to refrain from having a treatment as guests are required to lie on their stomach for a long time and the structure of the Hydro Bath facilities may not be user-friendly for senior guests.
What if I am pregnant?
Basically we recommend Decleor Facials for guests during pregnancy. However, please follow your doctor's instructions before booking a treatment as our Facials include a back massage for which you will be required to lie on your stomach.
I have a chronic illness (or I have an allergy).
Please consult your doctor before booking a treatment as it is hard to guarantee that a specific treatment is perfectly safe for a certain chronic illness and certain allergic conditions.
Can I decide on my treatment course on the day of treatment?
Guests are kindly requested to decide and book a treatment in advance. Each treatment room is specifically designed for various treatments, so we need to reserve a room especially for you. However, you can select a specific treatment from Decleor Facials and Mandara Body Wraps/ Scrubs during counseling, based on your skin type and preference.
What if I am late for my appointment?
Kindly understand that arriving late will shorten your treatment time so as not to delay the starting time for the next guest. In addition, regular treatment rates will be charged. We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that every guest can enjoy our spa equally.
When should I use the Hydro Bath?
It would be ideal for you to check-in at the spa an hour prior to the scheduled treatment time to fully enjoy the Hydro Bath. This will make your body and mind relax and increase the effectiveness of your treatment. You can access the Hydro anytime before and after your treatment. For Ayurvedic Shiro Dhara and Indian Head Massage, it would be recommended to dry your hair prior to the treatment to maximize the benefits of the oils used to nourish your hair. After the two treatments, you may want to wash your hair again. Hair shampoo, hair conditioner and body soap are available in the shower stalls at the Hydro Bath.
Should I remove my make-up before arriving at the spa? Are there make-up products available for use?
Yes, guests are requested to remove make-up before using our Hydro Bath and having treatment. Cleansing milk, toner, moisturizer and hair spray are available in the female locker area, but no make-up products are available. Please bring your own with you. Face wash, moisturizer, shaving cream and some hair products are available in the male locker area.
What if I wear contact lenses?
You may want to consider removing your contact lenses as we do not take responsibility for damage from oil or cosmetics. Please bring your own lens case and solution.
What if I am menstruating?
You can enjoy treatment as far as you feel comfortable while taking your treatment. Please prepare sanitary shorts and items and tell your therapist any concerns. The therapist will pay due consideration to your condition and arrange treatment accordingly. Kindly refrain from using the Hydro Bath during menstruation in consideration of other guests.
